Natural or engineered: we’ll help you decide
Natural (solid) hardwood is milled from a single piece of wood. It can be sanded and refinished many times, so it can last for generations.
Engineered hardwood has a real wood top layer over a layered core. It moves less with humidity and temperature swings, which makes it a good fit for homes that see big changes between a cold, damp winter and a dry summer. It can usually be refinished once or twice.
Neither is better across the board. It comes down to your home and how you live.
