Luxury vinyl has come a long way. It looks like real wood or stone, it shrugs off spills, and it holds up to kids, dogs and muddy shoes. It’s no surprise it’s become one of the most popular floors in University Place and all around the South Sound.

Waterproof flooring that fits the Northwest

Our climate is wet for a good part of the year, and a lot of that moisture ends up tracked through the front door. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) handle it far better than laminate or carpet, and they’re scratch-resistant enough to stand up to pets. That makes them a great fit for:

  • Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms
  • Entryways and mudrooms
  • Basements and busy family rooms
  • Rentals and homes you want to be low-maintenance

Top brands, and help choosing

Kellie’s Remodel & Restoration sells luxury vinyl as well as installing it. We work with the industry’s leading makers of luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile and engineered vinyl plank (EVP), and we can source almost any style you have in mind. Take a look at our top flooring products to get started, or have us bring samples to your home.

Installed flat, installed right

The best vinyl in the world will click, gap or feel hollow over an uneven floor. That’s why we check the subfloor before anything goes down, and we level or repair it when it needs it. It’s one of the reasons Kellie’s has been a go-to vinyl flooring installer near University Place for years.

Every floor goes down over a flat, solid subfloor. Kellie's checks that first, which is why the floors stay flat.

The flooring is beautiful, the installation is perfect. I threw some curve balls and Kellie was all over it, every time. FANTASTIC all around!

We had carpets and hardwood installed, and it is all beautiful and high quality. Excellent customer service and communication throughout the process.

Did you know?

Most "bad floor" calls aren't the floor. If a room feels bouncy or the planks keep separating, the subfloor underneath is usually the problem, and covering it up with new flooring just buys you a year. Kellie's levels and repairs the subfloor first, which is why the floors stay flat.

FAQ

Luxury vinyl questions, answered for University Place

What's the difference between LVP, LVT and EVP?

LVP is luxury vinyl plank, made to look like wood. LVT is luxury vinyl tile, made to look like stone or ceramic. EVP is engineered vinyl plank, which has a rigid core that makes it a little more forgiving over small bumps in the subfloor. We install all three and can help you pick.

Is luxury vinyl really waterproof?

Most of the luxury vinyl we install is waterproof or highly water-resistant, which is why it's so popular in kitchens, baths, laundry rooms and entryways here in the Northwest. The install still matters. Tight seams and a flat subfloor keep it that way.

Can you put luxury vinyl in some rooms and hardwood or carpet in others?

Yes, and we do it all the time. Kellie's installs every type of flooring, so we can mix materials room by room and make the transitions look clean.
